Hazel Margaret Miller

Hazel Margaret Miller, age 87, of Brodhead, KY, passed away Monday, November 18th, 2024, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt Vernon, KY. Hazel was born on September 4th, 1937, in Rockcastle County to Sylvester and Mary Cromer Mcferron. She was united in marriage to Curtis B. Miller on April 10th, 1954. They enjoyed 27 years together until his passing on January 30th, 1982.

She was of the Christian faith and was baptized into the Brodhead Christian Church many years ago. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved her family so very much, as they did her, and her greatest joy was spending time with them. She had been a baby-sitter and was “mamaw” to the many kids she babysat and she loved each one dearly. She will be so sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Those left to mourn her passing are her children; Wanda Martin (Steve) of Cape Coral, FL, Bentley Miller (Brenda) of Sand Springs, Linda Nicely (Tim) of Brodhead, KY, Brenda McKnight (Larry) of Scaffold Cane, Jimmy Miller (Annette) of Brodhead. Her grandchildren; Rochelle Graves, Chase Boggs, Jeff Miller (Verlena), Mindy Gardiner (Joe), Shannon Nicely, Lori Maggard (James). Her Great grandchildren; Stephanie Marx((Jake), Samantha Miller (Justin), Tina Miller (Bradley), Grace Gardiner, Brett Gardiner, Kinsley Maggard, Abram Maggard. Her Great Great grandchildren; Lily Welch, Ryan Miller. Sisters; Margie Barron and Irene Graves of Brodhead. Sister-in- law; Irene Mcferron of Brodhead as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curits B. Miller, her parents; Sylvester and Mary Mcferron, sister; Evelyn Mink. Brothers; Fred, Andrew, Robert, and Edward Mcferron. Sister-in-laws; Flossie and Rhonda Mcferron. Son-in-law, Randall Boggs. Grandson; Kevin Nicely.

Visitation for Mrs. Miller will Sunday, November 24th, at Marvin Owens Chapel from 12pm-2pm. Funeral service will follow at 2pm with Bro. Wendell Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Skaggs Creek Cemetery.
