Herbert Lee Halcomb

Mr. Herbert Lee Halcomb, age 84 of Berea, Ky., passed away Wednesday June 7, 2023, at Baptist Health, Richmond, Ky.

He was born June 21, 1938, in Brodhead, Ky., a son of the late Daniel Vincent Halcomb and Mamie Alice Moore Halcomb.  He had been employed for Rockwell and Good Year.  Herb was a member of West Brodhead Church of God.  He found great joy in being an airplane pilot, playing guitar, water skiing, roller skating, and building radio control airplanes.

Those left to celebrate his life are his lifelong companion Kathleen Alexander, his children; Jeffery Lee Halcomb (Susan) of Deland, Florida; Theresa Gail Wiles (Randy) of Richmond, Ky; Vince Edward Halcomb (Alicia) of Maryland.; and Libby Jean Johnson (Billy) of Crab Orchard, Ky. His grandchildren: Candi, Jennifer, Scot, Tyler, Heather and Billy Jr. Sixteen great grandchildren:  His brother: Eugene “Gene” Halcomb (Sue) of Brodhead, Ky.  As well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, William Henry and Raymond Halcomb; His sisters: Evelyn Rowlett, Stella Marie Halcomb Burke, Mary Catherine Halcomb Adams and Vivian Halcomb Bishop.
