Hilda Faye Hampton

Mrs. Hilda Faye Hampton, age 79, of Eubank, departed this life Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation in Brodhead, KY.

She was born on Jan.25, 1944, in Delta, KY. a daughter of the late George Dodson Morrow and Jetta (Kidd) Morrow.  Hilda was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church.

 She found great joy working bible school, latch hooking and cross stitch.  She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  On December 18, 1961, she was united in marriage to MacArthur Hampton. and from that union came three children: Doug, Tim, and Patricia.

Those left to celebrate her life are her children; Douglas Hampton of Eubank, Timothy Hampton (Kim) of Mt Vernon. Her five grandchildren; Joshua Hampton (Tiffany), Adrienne Beth Wright (Jacob), Phillip Hampton (Felicia),Bethany Hampton, Destiny Hampton (Shannon Trent Jr). Five great grandchildren; Jaxon, Abigail and Ashton Hampton, Benjamin, and Ellie Pat Wright. Four sisters; Rosetta Branscum, Elsie Cromer, Geneva Hinds and Jean Seeser. One brother: Benny Morrow (Ruth) of Wayne Co. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Cromer. Three sisters; Evay Simpson, Stella Sexton, Edith Morrow (Infant). Six brothers; Roosevelt, Louid, Clifford, Dewey, Forrest, and Lawrence Morrow. 

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 11AM-2PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals, with funeral services following at 2PM with Bros. Tim Hampton and Larry Simpson officiating. A burial will follow in Negro Creek Cemetery. The family would also like to send special thanks to Rockcastle Health and Rehab.
