Hurchel Reeseman

Obituary notice:

Mr. Hurchel Reeseman, age 93 of Liberty Township, Ohio and formerly of Brodhead, Ky., departed this life on Sunday, August 3, 2025.

He was born on September 16, 1931, in Horse Creek, Ky. in Clay County, a son of the late Harry Lloyd and Stella Mae Crawford Reeseman.  Hurchel was a water well driller for the Crawford Well Drilling Company.   He served his country in the US Armed Forces. He was a member of the Worldwide Church of God and found great pleasure in fishing.  On December 31, 1963, he was united in marriage to Hester Faye Proffitt Reeseman, and they enjoyed many years together prior to her passing June 19, 2010.

Those left to celebrate his life are his children: Lois Faye Reeseman of Liberty Township, OH; Carolyn Loretta Allen of Liberty Township, OH; David Denney Reeseman (Raquel) of Anderson, IND; Ralph Reeseman (Sherly) of Liberty Township, OH; and Michael Reeseman (Sarah) of West Chester, OH.  His grandchildren: Aaron Allen, David Jr., Alyson Nicole, Christian Michael, Ralph Jr., Rebecca Dawn, Amanda Lynn, Sandra and Trevor Wayne; a host of great grandchildren, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, and wife, Hester, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Charles Layton; his sisters, Katie Howard and Loretta McAbee, and his brother, I.J. Reeseman.

Visitation for Mr. Reeseman will be Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 12-2PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with funeral services following at 2PM with Bro. Bryan Dixon officiating.  Burial will follow in Lawrence/Napier (Ottawa)Cemetery.
