Ima Jane (Newton) Cotton

Mrs. Ima Jane (Newton) Cotton, age 58, of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away on Monday, November 28, 20222, at UK Hospital in Lexington.

Ima was born January 5, 1964, in Richmond, IN, a daughter of the late Benjamin Newton and Veeda Grimes. On September 26, 1994, she as united in holy matrimony to Dell Cotton. In her free time, she enjoyed playing games and taking picture.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband of 28 years, Dell Cotton; two children: Randall Wilson, and Everett Wilson & Kayla; three grandchildren: Adrienne Winchester, Peyton Wilson, and Benjamin Wilson; a sister: Brenda Potter; as well as a host of many friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one child Shannon Newton, and a sister Valeta Mayes.

Services for Ima will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with visitation beginning at 11:00 until time for funeral services at 2:00 with Bro. Jack Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilds Cemetery.
