Ima Jean (McClure) Taylor

Mrs. Ima Jean (McClure) Taylor, age 70, of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at her residence.

Ima Jean was born January 25, 1951 in Mt. Vernon, KY to the late Allen Lewis McClure and the late Mary Jane (Barrett) McClure Gadd. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, was a teller/head teller at Bank of Mt. Vernon/Community Trust Bank for 40 years, and enjoyed traveling, cooking, and her grandkids.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband of 44 years:  Kenneth Ray Taylor; three children:  Melissa Toler and husband Michael of Lancaster, KY, Tracy Mink and husband Jeff of Richmond, KY, David Taylor and wife Beth of Berea, KY; seven grandchildren:  Josh Toler and wife Tiffanie, Jathan Toler and wife Susie, Haley Strunk and husband Zach, Emily Mink, Melanie Mink, Logan Taylor, Levi Taylor; six great-grandchildren:  Tristin Toler, Carson Toler, Izabella Toler, Alexa Toler, Elijah Strunk, Raelyn Strunk; and one sister:  Betty Steele Jones.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers:  Junior Estes, James Clayton Fulks; and one sister:  Daisy Fulks Vance.

Visitation for Ima Jean Taylor will be Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 11am until time for the funeral service at 2pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. George Renner officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakhill Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Logan and Levi Taylor, Emily and Melanie Mink.
