JB Stevens

J. B. Stevens age 88, of Mt Vernon passed away Monday, September 9th, 2024, at Baptist Health in Lexington, Ky.

J. B. was born April 16, 1936, to the late William Harve and Edna (Bullock) Stevens. On June 23rd, 1956, he married Dorothy (Harrison) Stevens. He was a member of Union Chapel Pentecostal Church (Happy Jack). J. B. enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, and working puzzles.   

He is survived by his son: Ronald Stevens (Rhonda) of Brodhead. His grandchildren; Shanna Lawson of Mt Vernon, Rebecca Ordonez (Miguel) of Eubank, Shannon Stevens (Jamie) of Mt Vernon, Amanda Hansel (Charles) of Mt Vernon, ten great grandchildren, and one brother: Randall Paul Stevens (Sharon) of Mt Vernon.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy (Harrison) Stevens. His sons; Donald Stevens and Danny Stevens, One brother: Lois Stevens, Sisters; Dorothy Jones, Lela Mae Harrison and Linda Elam.

Visitation for Mr. Stevens will be Thursday, 6-9 pm at Marvin Owens Chapel. Funeral service will Friday at 1pm at Marvin Owens Chapel with Bro. Ron Roberts Officiating, burial will follow in Oakhill Cemetery.

Casket bearers; Randall Stevens, Ronald Stevens, Miguel (George) Ordonez, Shannon Stevens, Jay Lawson and Rick Fry.
