Jack Bradley

Mr. Jackie Ray Bradley, age 76 of Mt. Vernon, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on Jan. 8, 1945 in Sand Springs, Ky., a son of the late James Russell Bradley and Ruby Juanita Renner Bradley.  He was a well-known Barber at Bradley Barber Shop in Mt. Vernon. Jack was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church, and enjoyed coon hunting, sports-particularly basketball and spending time with his grand babies.  On March 22, 1969 he was united in marriage to Paulette Sewell and from that union came four children-Michael Anthony, James Leon, Nancy Fanett and Jackie Ray Bradley, Jr.    

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 52 years, Paulette Bradley of Mt. Vernon; his children-Michael Anthony Bradley (Choemae) of Sand Springs; James Leon Bradley (Jennifer) of Sand Springs; Nancy Fanett Ramsey (Gary) of Mt. Vernon; and Lexi Bradley of Mt. Vernon, KY. His grandchildren-Levi Logan, Ariel, Heather, Jack, Everleigh  Bradley; Jesse, Amanda, Gary, and Cassidy Ramsey; Kaleb Godbey; Aubery, Makayla and Liam Burke. His great grandchildren: Wyatt and Creedence Bradley; Connor Allen, Joslyn Pittman, Jacob, Jase, Jax, and Jagger Asher; Russell, Gary, Dakota, Alexis and Nevaeh Ramsey.  His brothers: Floyd Bradley (Carolyn) of Brodhead, Ky; Boyd Bradley (Sandy) of Mt. Vernon, Ky; His sisters: Lois Hayes (Doug) of Crab Orchard, Ky; Joyce McCracken (Randy) of Mt. Vernon, Ky; Gail Wilson (Brian) of Russell Springs, Ky; and Sharon Boone of Mt. Vernon, Ky. As well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Ray Bradley, Jr., a granddaughter-Rebecca Barron; Great grandchild: Braxton Ray Barron; his beloved brother-Bobby Wayne Bradley; his sisters-Lucille Hasty and Eulada Bradley and infant twins.

Visitation for Jack Bradley will be Monday, April 12, 2021 from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.  Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 2PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Josh Hasty and Larry Bradley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sowder Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Trace Boone, Bret Noble, Pate Bullock, J.D. Bradley, Cody Wilson and Blake Fletcher.
