Mr. James Lawrence Bustle age 80 of Livingston, KY passed away Monday, February 6, 2023, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY.

James was born October 1, 1942, in Mt. Vernon, KY to the late Luther and Zelda (Nicely) Bustle. He was a Concrete Mason and enjoyed coon hunting, horses, and chicken fighting. James married Shirley Murphy on February 1, 1969 and from that union came five children:  James, Lonnie, Rita, Teresa, and Jennifer.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 54 years:  Shirley Bustle; five children:  James Bustle, Jr. and wife Ruth of Camden OH, Lonnie “Rufus” Bustle and wife Gina of Brodhead, KY, Rita Bustle of Mt. Vernon, KY, Teresa Lunsford and husband Mark of Brodhead, KY, and Jennifer Bustle and husband Ben of East Bernstadt, KY; six grandchildren:  Brandon Childress (LaRee), Lonnie “Junior” Bustle, Haley Bustle, Gabe Wynn, McKenzi Lunsford, and Angie Cline (Chuck); six great grandchildren: Steven Saylor, Jake Saylor, McKenna Saylor, Athena Wynn, Aiden Cline, and Miranda Cline; two brothers:  Virgil Bustle of Pine Hill, KY, and Robert Bustle of Orlando, KY; and one sister:  Sally Gray of Hamilton, OH; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings:  Luther Bustle, Jr., John William Bustle, Shirley McQueen, Sylvia Bustle, and Lela Mae Bustle.

Services for James Bustle will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. Visitation will be from 11am until time for the funeral service at 1pm. Burial will follow in the Ball Cemetery. Casket bearers are Gabe Wynn, Dwayne Goforth, Ben Holt, Junior Bustle, Wayne Carpenter, Ryan Carpenter, Mark Lunsford, Gary Green.
