James Cox Obituary

James Luther “Jimbo” Cox, age 74, passed away at his home in Mt. Vernon on Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018. He was born on May 22nd, 1944 to the late William and Clercie Marler Cox. James was a mechanic and farmer. He enjoyed watching TV and going to Dairy Delight to eat.

Those left to celebrate his life are: a brother: Milton Cox of Mt. Vernon, KY; sisters: Emmie J. Stogsdill and Jerald of Mt. Vernon, KY, and Gertrude Mullins of Mt. Vernon, KY.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Wilburn, Charles, Robert, Boyd, Andrew Cox and Shirley Cox.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 8th, 2018 at 2PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. Marvin Cromer officiating. A visitation will held from 12pm until time of service at 2pm.
