James Corbet Leger

Mr. James Corbet Leger, age 66, of Berea, KY, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY.

James was born November 5, 1954 in Berea, KY to the late William Herbert “Bill” “Red” and Mary Fern (Baker) Leger.  He was a retired electrician for Leger Electric and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Those left to celebrate his life are his eight siblings:  Billy Ray Leger of Berea, KY, Benny Leger and wife Martina of Brodhead, KY, Jerry Leger and wife Jan of Paint Lick, KY, Charles Leger and wife Inas of Berea, KY, Becky Isaacs of Berea, KY, Nikki Moore and husband Dennis of LaGrange, KY, Iola Harris of Berea, KY, and Julie Moore and husband Howard of Pendleton, KY.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law:  Hobert Isaacs and Rick Harris.

Visitation for James will be Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 5-8pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. Funeral services will be Monday, January 18, 2021 at 2pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Michael Leger officiating. Burial will follow in the Leger Family Cemetery. Casket bearers are:  Chuck, Joseph, and Calvin Leger, Nick Isaacs, Matt Moore, and Ricky Harris.
