Mr. James Edward Robinson, age 79, departed this life peacefully on Saturday, May 16th, 2026, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital. James was born on October 28th, 1946, a son to the late John and Gladys (Baker) Robinson.
James was of the Christian faith and has been a member of Brush Creek Holiness Church for more than 10 years. He worked at Trane for many years. He loved Fishing, Hunting, and Horseshoe Pitching, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.
James is survived by his wife; Edna (Chestnut) Robinson, his children; James Robinson (Regina) of Sand Springs, Jeannie Kendrick (Matt) of Brodhead, Michael Robinson of Orlando, Donnie “Doodle” Robinson (Kara) of Berea. His grandchildren; Valerie Kendrick, Sydney Robinson, Ethan Robinson, and Noah Robinson, his great grandchild; Langston, his brothers; Harold Robinson (Debra) of Mt Vernon, Lonnie Robinson of Mt Vernon, Timothy Robinson (Kim) of Orlando, his sisters; Patricia Artley of Orlando, Hazel Moore of Orlando, Louise Rigsby of Orlando, Sandra Smith (Jeff) of Livingston.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers; John Robinson Jr., Wendell Robinson, Donald Robinson, and Daniel Lee Robinson.
Visitation for James will be Wednesday, May 20th, 2026, at Brush Creek Holiness Church from 11am-1pm. Funeral will follow at 1pm with Bro. Lonnie McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in Briarfield Cemetery.
