Mr. James Tony Taylor, age 83, of Mount Vernon, Ky, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 27, 2018.
James was born in Brindle Ridge, KY, a son of the late Nannie Taylor, on February 3, 1935. He proudly served his country for several years through the United States Army. He was a member of Roundstone Baptist Church, and often enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, and helping others with electricity work. He was united in marriage to his wife, Flora Mae Taylor on January 18, 1960.
Those left to celebrate his life are his wife Flora Mae Taylor of Mount Vernon, KY; daughter: Debi Moore and Danny of Mount Vernon, KY; three grandchildren: Niki Klave and John, Cody Moore, and Tony Moore; two great-grandchildren: Ava Klave, and Roman Klave; as well as a host of friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Nannie Taylor; and a very special aunt: Mallie Mullins.
Services for Mr. Taylor will be Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals, beginning with the visitation from 12-2pm, followed by the funeral at 2pm, with Bro. Tim Floyd, and Bro. Rick Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery.
