Jean Skeen (Bradley) Bray

Mrs. Willie Jean Skeen Bray, age 94 of Mt. Vernon, Ky. departed this life on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Rockcastle Health & Rehabilitation Facility in Brodhead, Ky.

She was born on Jan. 10, 1929 in Mt. Vernon, Ky., the daughter of  the late William Christopher and Ollie Mae Owens Bradley.  She had been a homemaker who enjoyed farm work, Cows, Cats, sitting on the front porch and her dog Spanky.  She was a member of Higher Praise Ministries of Mt. Vernon, Ky. She was blessed to have had two husbands in her lifetime, Jack Skeen she married in Oct. 1946 and Dale Bray in May 2010. 

Those left to celebrate her life are her daughter, Judy Dillingham  Parker and husband Gary of Mt. Vernon, Ky; her grandchildren: Shea Lawson, Chris Dillingham, Jason Dillingham and Tara Jones; her great grandchildren: Bryson Lawson, Emily Hamblin, Landon Dillingham, Averi Dillingham, Tye Hamblin, River Dillingham, Ronin Dillingham and Logan Prewitt. As well as a host of friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Phyllis Jones.

Visitation for Mrs. Bray will be Friday, October 13, 2023 from 12Noon-2PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals, with funeral services following at 2PM . Burial will follow in the Freedom Cemetery.
