Jearl Edwin Hasty

Jearl Edwin Hasty, age 91 of Mt. Vernon departed this life Wednesday, January 10. 2024 at Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY. 

He was born on Oct. 4, 1932 in Rockcastle Co., KY.  a son of the late William and Rose Cope Hasty.  Jearl was a member of the Holiness faith and found great joy in hunting and fishing. He was a 28 year employee of Trane manufacturing and also a Farmer. On Dec. 31, 1949 he was united in marriage to the late Marcella Creech who preceded him in death on Dec. 7, 2019.

Those left to celebrate his life are his children: Carol Shepherd of Crab Orchard, KY; Eddie Hasty (Janet) of Lancaster, KY; Michael Hasty (Brenda) of Lancaster, KY; Gordon Hasty of Lancaster, KY; Shannon Hasty (Carol) of Livingston, KY; and Connie Kincer of Mt. Vernon, KY; Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. .  As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Special friends and neighbors, Arlos and Bonnie McFerron. 

Besides his parents, and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother: Eugene Hasty and sister: Wanda Hasty Berry.
