Jeff Phelps

 Jeffery “Jeff” Robert Phelps, 53 of Brodhead, Ky. departed this life Thursday, July 10, 2025 at UK Medical Center. Jeff was born June 19, 1972 in Richmond, Ky. He was the son of the late Robert “Bobby” Phelps and Bronnie (David) Steele. Jeff was proud to have served in the Kentucky Army National Guard. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to fish and hunt. He was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother, Bronnie (David) Steele of Mt. Vernon, his wife, Stephanie Phelps and his two children, Austin Phelps of Somerset and Kayla Adkins of Berea, Ky. A step son, Ellis Hines of Mt. Vernon, Ky. Jeff is also survived by four sisters, Patty Seals, and Victoria (Darren) Cook, both of Madison County, Stephanie (Kyle) Smith of Manchester, Ky and Zora Steele of Orlando, Ky. One brother, Dustin (Katelyn) Phelps of Wilmington, NC. Jeff has one grandson, Lincoln Raider, as well as a host of nieces and nephews to celebrate his life. Besides his father, Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, R.E. and Freda Phelps, as well as Dewey and Zora Robbins.
