Jewel Brown Obituary

Mrs. Jewel (Richards) Brown, age 75, wife of Jerry, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at her residence.

Jewel was born March 21, 1945 in Climax, KY to the late George and Ruth (VanWinkle) Richards. She was a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church, was retired from Dresser Industries, enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and her family. She married Jerry Brown on January 14, 1967, and from that union came two daughters:  Jerri Lynn and Jeanette.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband of 54 years:  Jerry Brown; two daughters:  Jerri Lynn McGee and husband Joe of Orlando, KY, Jeanette Robinson and fiancé William Smith of Mt. Vernon, KY; two grandchildren:  Katlyn Atkin and husband Addison, Logan Robinson and fiancé Alexis Stewart; and one brother:  Frank Richards and wife Roberta of Orlando, KY.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers:  Kenneth Richards, Kelly Richards, Henry Richards; and two sisters:  Pauline Bowman, and Evelyn Gibbons.

Visitation for Mrs. Jewel Brown will be Monday, February 8, 2021 from 11am until time for the funeral service at 1pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bros. Jerry Owens and Bob Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ottawa Cemetery. Casket bearers are Addison Atkin, Joe McGee, Isaiah Smith, Willie Smith, William Smith, and BJ Thomason.
