Jo Ann Hensley

Jo Ann Hensley, age 71, of Orlando, KY, passed away on September 10th,2025, surrounded by her family at Baptist Health in Lexington, KY.  She was born on June14th, 1954, to the late Russell and Helen Peters.

Jo Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose greatest joy came from her family.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Clinton Hensley of Orlando, KY, and her beloved children; Rob (Jennifer) Peters of Frankfort, KY, Victoria (Darren) Cook of Richmond, KY, Stephanie (Kyle) Smith of Manchester, KY, and Dale (Glenda Jo) Hensley of Orlando, KY. She is also survived by her grandchildren in whom she was most proud; Miranda Moore, Jamie Peters, Delaney Peters, Blake Springman, Abigail Martin, Graydon Martin, Ireland Cook, Glendyn Ethan Smith, Emma Hensley, Alia Hensley, and Isaiah Bowles. In addition to her great grandchildren; Adeline Moore, Kinlee Wainscott, and Harrison Springman. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Jo Ann loved to laugh, travel, buggy ride, and she enjoyed being outdoors. Joann’s life was marked by strength, resilience, and a stubborn spirit that refused to back down, She was fiercely loyal and unwavering in her support of her children, always standing behind them no matter what the circumstances. Her boldness, grit, and love left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Visitation for Jo Ann will be on Monday, September 15th, 2025, from 6-9pm at Brush Creek Holiness Church. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, at 1pm with Bro. Jason Medley officiating, Burial will follow in the Briarfield Cemetery.
