Mr. John Benedict Glovak, Jr. age 84 of Salyersville, KY, formerly of Brodhead, KY, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Kings Daughters Hospital in Ashland, KY.

John was born March 23, 1937 in Nanty Glo, PA to the late John Benedict Glovak, Sr. and the late Edna (Grembi) Glovak. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Salyersville, KY; enjoyed woodworking, carpentering, and volunteering at Open Door Ministry.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife: Linda (Whitt) Glovak; two daughters: Theresa Davis and husband Mark of Crab Orchard, KY, Lora Mullins and husband Russ of Eubank, KY; stepchildren: Vint Dyer and family of Salyersville, KY, Frankie Dyer and family of Salyersville, KY; four grandchildren: John Mark Davis, Rachael Emery and husband Austin, Robert Davis, Lucas Mullins; one sister: Theresa Shaffer and husband George of Corona, CA; and his beloved “little man” dog; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: John B. Glovak III; one brother: Frank D. Glovak; and one sister: Mary Catherine Gill.

Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be planned at a later date.
