John Jr. Bowling

Mr. John Jr. Bowling, age 78, of Dayton, Ohio passed away Monday, March 30. 2026. He was born April 25, 1947, in Berea, Kentucky, the son of John and Ethel Bowling.

John graduated from Northridge High School in the class of 1965.  He worked as a tool and die maker at AFC Tools until his retirement.  In his free time, John enjoyed riding his motorcycle, boating at Lake Cumberland and hunting pheasants. He was an all-around outdoorsman.

He is preceded in death by his father, John D. Bowling, and his beloved wife, Jessica Bowling.

John is survived by his mother, Ethel Bowling;  his sister, Judy Brewer;  his brother, Don Bowling; his son, John Thomas Bowling;  his step daughter, Jennifer Baker;  his grandchildren, Amanda Bowling, Erica Bowling, Chad Bowling, Jackson Baker,  Jala Shoemaker and Jade Baker;  his great grandchildren, Hunter, Frost and Julian Disney, Jaxon Barlow, Spencer, Kenickie and Tommy Bowling.

A Memorial service will be conducted Saturday, April 18,2026 from 10am-12noon at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. Randal Adams officiating.
