Mr. Johnie Ray Gillson, age 61, of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020, at his residence.

Johnie was born July 24, 1958 in Glendale, CA to the late Warren Ray and Edna Louise (Dornan) Gillson. He had been a truck driver, enjoyed cars, motorcycles, boats, and fishing.

Those left to celebrate his life are his three children: Monica (Brian) Conter of Oxnard, CA, Michael Gillson of Terra Haute, IN, Wendy Karapet of Somis, CA; five grandchildren: Haydyn Karapet, Elis Medlin, Gracie, Gillson, Ryan Karapet, Madison Conter; one brother: Chris Alan ( Cindie) Gillson of Grahm, WA; one sister: Cindy Louise (Gordon) Arbathnot of Berea, KY; two nephews: Steven Gillson, Devin Arbuthnot; two nieces: Renee Gillson Phillips, Amanda Arbuthnot; great-nephew: Desmond Gillson; and great-niece: Abbi Gillson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation rites were performed.
