Johnnie Hamp Renner, age 80 of Brodhead, departed this life on Friday, June 19th, 2026, at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital.
He was born on March 11, 1946 in Sand Springs, KY., a son of the late Wilson and Cora Lee (Graves) Renner. He had previously worked for the Kentucky State Highway Department. He attended Sand Springs Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing and hot rods.
Those left to celebrate his life are his son: Christopher Renner of Danville, Ky. His brother: Vernon Renner (Christine) of Mt. Vernon, Ky; his sisters: Retha Cromer (Ovie) of Mt. Vernon, Ky; Clarice Kirby of Mt. Vernon, Ky; and Cindy Cook of Mt. Vernon, Ky. As well as a host of nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews, and a host of friends and neighbors.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, LeeOnia Pelley.
Visitation for Mr. Renner will be Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals from 11am-1pm, burial will follow in McKinney Cemetery.
