Johnny Clarence Benge

Mr. Johnny Clarence Benge, age 65, departed this life on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital.

He was born on May 9, 1958, in Cincinnati, OH, a son of the late Jerry and Jewell Brock Benge.  He was of the Christian faith and accepted the Lord prior to his passing.  Johnny was Fire Chief of Western Rockcastle Volunteer Fire Department; was a member of Southeastern Antique Tractor Club, an avid John Deere collector. He loved farming.  On May 16, 1992, he was united in marriage to Louise Proctor Graves, and they enjoyed thirty-three years together.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife, Louise Benge of Brodhead, Ky; His mother, Jewell Benge of Brodhead, Ky; His children: Denise Watson of Mt. Vernon, Ky; Billy Graves II (Daniella) of Somerset, Ky; and Josie Adams of Mt. Vernon, Ky; His grandchildren: Hayden Powell, Bailey Adams, Braxton Watson, Ellyannah Watson, and Trey Douglas Graves. His brother: James Tracy Benge. A sister-in-law Alecia Benge  As well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jennifer Bishop Benge; a daughter: Suzanne Michele Graves; grandchild: Conner Watson; and brother, Troy Benge, and son-in-law, Bruce Watson.

Visitation for Johnny Benge will be Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals and Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 12-2 prior to services.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 1, 2023, at 2PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Randal Adams officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery.
