Johnny Lee Dooley

Mr. Johnny Lee Dooley, age 60, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at St. Joseph Hospital in Berea.

Johnny born on October 23, 1962, in Mt. Vernon, KY, a son of the late Albert and Jerline (French) Dooley. He often attended Three Links Christian Church and enjoyed doing yardwork and working outdoors.

Those left to celebrate his life are his two children: Joshua Lee Dooley of Mt. Vernon, KY, and Julia Leigh Bailey, of London, KY; three grandchildren: Thomas Bailey, Jordan Bailey. And Trenton Dooley; two brothers: George Dooley & Barbara of Mt. Vernon, KY, and Travis Earl Dooley of Somerset, KY; three sisters: Ruby Beam & Carver of Kewanee, IL, Lucille McHargue & Howard of Mt. Vernon, KY, and Carol Bryant & Rudy Burdette of Brodhead, KY; two special friends: Betty Hayes Jasper and Angie James; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings: James Frank Dooley, Dicie Marie Mullins, and Florence Dooley.

Services for Johnny will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Three Links Christian Church, beginning with the visitation at 11am, until the time of the funeral service at 1pm, with Jack Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Phillips Cemetery. Casket bearers will be George, Josh, and Clay Dooley, Tommy Scott, Howard McHargue, and Steve Pitman; honorary casket bearers will be Shawn Mink, Carl Morgan, and Doug Phillips.
