Johnny Lee Newcomb

Mr. Johnny Lee Newcomb, age 56, of Orlando, KY, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY.

Johnny was born October 9, 1964 in Lancaster, KY to the late Leslie and Mary Margie (Childress) Newcomb. He was a member of the Calloway Holiness Church, loved his grandkids, 4-wheeling, fishing, fooling with his chickens, and his dogs:  Peanut and Butterball.

Those left to celebrate his life are his two children:  Dougie Newcomb and wife Kasey of Orlando, KY, Stephanie Hensley and husband AJ of Orlando, KY; eight grandchildren:  Dalton Hensley, Jaden Hensley, Ashtin Hensley, Colson Hensley, Braxton Hensley, Kellie Newcomb, Hunter Newcomb, Chase Newcomb; one brother:  Charles Newcomb and wife Laura of Richmond, KY; one sister:  Frances Hensley and husband Lige of Mt. Vernon, KY; and his mother-in-law:  Wanda Hensley; as well as many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.

Besides his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his wife:  Edna Hensley Newcomb; one brother: Bobby Newcomb; one sister:  Sylvia Lear; his father-in-law:  Oscar Hensley; and one special nephew:  James Hensley.

Visitation for Johnny Newcomb will be Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 6-9pm at Calloway Holiness Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 2pm at Calloway Holiness Church with Bro. Phillip Doan officiating. Burial will follow in the Briarfield Cemetery. Casket bearers are:  Dougie Newcomb, AJ, Dalton, Jaden, Ashtin, and Clinton Hensley.
