Johnny (Jr) Simpson

Hulen Johnny Simpson Jr, age 75, of Brodhead, Ky, passed away on Monday, December 22nd, 2025, at his residence. He was born on May 15th, 1950, in Stanford, Ky. A son to the late Hulen Sr. and Irene Genton Simpson. On January 16th, 1969, he married Brenda Cash Simpson and from that union came four children, Angela, Chris, Susan, and Donovan.

Johnny was a co-owner of SMS Tire Processing Inc. and he worked at Okonite Cable Company for 15 years. He was a member of Beulah First Church of God. He enjoyed camping, off Roading, Round Track-Dirt Go Cart Racing, Moto-Cross, and he farmed for 18 years.

Johnny is survived by his wife; Brenda Cash Simpson, his children; Angela Hansel (Scott) of Brodhead, Chris Simpson (Pamela) of Brodhead, Donovan Simpson of Crab Orchard, his grandchildren; Aaron Hansel (Missy), Kristen Banks (Zack), Emiley Hensley (Dylan), Johnathan Simpson (Allie), Cheyenne Donahue (Travis), Dakota Taylor, his great grandchildren; Tyler Simpson, Mila Hensley, Keegan Banks, Kason Banks, Marshall Hansel, John Simpson, Wyatt Simpson, Lainey Simpson, Holley Simpson, Ellie Joe Donahue, Natalie Donahue, his sister: Alicia Simpson Hammond (Tracy) of Monterey, California.

Besides his parents Johnny was preceded by one child: Susan Elizabeth Simpson Taylor.

Visitation for Johnny will be Friday, December 26th, 2025, at Marvin Owens Chapel from 12-2pm. Funeral service will follow at 2pm with Sister Jessica Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Zion Cemetery.
