Joseph Lee Edwards

 Joseph Lee Edwards, age 74, of Brodhead, passed away September 11th, 2024.

He was born on October 18th, 1949, in Casey Co, a son of the late Arnold Cleavie and Virtie (Viola) (Carter) Edwards. On June 28th, 2018, he married Wanda Lou (Denney) Edwards. He was a Navy Veteran and a lifelong truck driver from the age of 16. Joseph attended the Church of God and enjoyed Gospel Country music, playing guitar, and talking politics. 

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife: Wanda Lou Edwards, his children; Michael Edwards (Julie) of Science Hill, Chris Edwards (Jessica) of Liberty. Stepchildren; Anthony Dwayne Carroll of Brodhead, Kimberley Michelle (Ray)Fields of Brodhead, Barry Ray (Virginia) Carroll of Brodhead. Grandchildren; Landon and Erin Noe of Liberty. Haley Sears Edwards of Science Hill, Zachary Edwards of Orlando, Fl. Step Grandchildren; Kathy Jo Lane, James Matthew Fields, Lauren Brooke Fields, Rachel Lee Anna (Aidan) Carroll, Heather Renne Carroll.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother: William (Willie) Arnold Edwards, one half-sister: Norma Joyce McDonald.

Visitation for Mr. Edwards will be September 20th, from 12-3pm at Owens Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 3pm with Reverend Kimberley Fields officiating.
