Joshua Hayes

Joshua Hayes, age 39, of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away on Friday, October 17th, 2025, at U.K. Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born on January 25th, 1986, in Somerset, KY. He was a son to Gary and Freda Mink Hayes.

Josh was of the Baptist faith. He was a welder by trade, and he enjoyed being outside, Hunting, Fishing on his boat, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife: Margaret (Gossett) Hayes, his mother: Freda Mink Hayes, his children; Jaeleigh Hayes, Madison Hayes, his sister: Deana Newcomb. Nieces Morgan Mullins and Lyndsay Newcomb. Great-Niece Brinley Cameron, as well as many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his dad: Gary Hayes.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025, at 2pm at Ottawa cemetery with Bro. John Vanwinkle officiating.
