Judy Lee (Kidwell) Adams

Mrs. Judy Lee (Kidwell) Adams, age 70, wife of Roy, of Mt. Vernon, KY, went home to be with her Lord, on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Judy was born on November 29, 1951, in Stanford, KY, a daughter of the late Earl Colson Kidwell and Minnie Alice Owens. She was united in holy matrimony to Roy Adams on May 15, 1976, and of that union came two sons: Roy and Eric. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She devoted many years to her receptionist position at Brodhead Elementary School, where she made many lasting friendships and shed a positive light on those around her. Although she was known for gifting baby quilts and making Christmas candy, her favorite hobby was spending time with her grandchildren.  

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband of 46 years Roy Adams, of Mt. Vernon, KY; two sons: Roy Donovan Adams & Ashley of Nancy, KY, and Eric Lee Adams & Angie of Mt. Vernon, KY; four granddaughters: Sadie Elizabeth, Madelyn Leanne, Lynnlee Mae, and Hannah Rose Adams; two brothers: Gary Kidwell & Laura of Brodhead, KY, and Phillip Kidwell & Jackie of Nicholasville, KY; two sisters: Helen Reppert & Ronnie of Scaffold Cane, KY, and Vanessa Palmer & Daniel of Richmond, KY; as well as a host of many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Christine Graves.

Services for Judy will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Bible Baptist Church, beginning with the visitation at 11am, until the time of the funeral service at 2pm, with Tim McClure, Perry Dobbs, and Travis Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Cresthaven Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Charles Bullen, Ronnie Dale Reppert, Harold Graves, Curt Kidwell, John Dyehouse, and Parker Bown. Honorary casket bearers will be Earl Bullock, Ronnie Arnold, and Sam and Danny Ford.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to: Bible Baptist Church, Shine Ministries, Brodhead Elementary School Family Resource Center.
