Judy (Hopkins) Mize

Mrs. Judy Hopkins Mize, Age 73, wife of the late Homer Ray Mize of Brodhead, Ky departed this life on January 28, 2024, at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.

Judy was born on November 10, 1950, in Berea KY to the late Virgil Sr. and Dolly Denny Hopkins.

On July 1, 1974, she married Homer Ray Mize, and they enjoyed 40 years together till his passing in 2013. From that union came 3 children: Shawna Harris of Brodhead, Donnie Moberly (Judith) Richmond and Shannon Mize of Brodhead.

She was a member of Livingston Christian Church and loved reading, canning, gardening, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything.

She is survived by her children Shawna Harris of Brodhead, Donnie Moberly (Judith) Richmond and Shannon Mize from Brodhead. 8 grandchildren: Josh Moberly, Logan Mize, Savannah Mize, Sean Moberly, Shelby Harris, Peyton Mize, Bailey Harris, and Jaimey Harris. 4 Great grandchildren: Jacob Osborne, Octavia Mize, Raylen Neal and Rylee Mize: 4 Brothers Mike Hopkins, Robert Hopkins (Teresa), Tim Hopkins (Dina), Bruce Hopkins (Betsy): 4 Sisters; Peggy Hopkins, Donna Poynter (Larry), Doris Smith (Ricky), Jenny Miller (Ricky) as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

 Other than her parents and husband she was preceded in death by Four siblings: Virgil Hopkins Jr., Roger Dale Hopkins, Donald Hopkins Sr., and Charles Eddie Hopkins.
