June (Caudill) Taylor

Mrs. Billie June Taylor, 89, of Brodhead, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at her home. June was born November 18, 1933, in Fogertown, Clay County to the late Aris and Zell Bowling Caudill. She married Bobby Lee Taylor on July 17, 1954. June was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ. She was a teacher for many years, starting her career in a one-room schoolhouse and retiring from Brodhead Elementary School in 1991. She was devoted to her family and was a cherished Mom and Mam-ma to her children and grandchildren.

June loved staying on the go. Through the years she enjoyed traveling up the road to Mt. Vernon, taking in the fall foliage, and attending shows at Renfro Valley, especially when they featured her great-grandson, Avery Bradshaw.

Those left to remember and celebrate her life include her two daughters: Jeleta (Jim) Bradshaw and Regina Taylor Burton, both of Brodhead; grandchildren: Jamica (Reggie) Pennington of Brodhead and Travis (Lindsay) Burton of Lancaster; great-grandchildren: Avery (Amelia) Bradshaw, Jordyn, Jaelyn & Jessalyn Pennington, Abigail & Alivia Shepherd, and Raylyn June Burton & Adrian; two sisters-in-law: Brenda Caudill and Roberta Taylor; as well as many other family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Bobby, grandson Justin Bradshaw, brothers Doug and Larry Caudill, sister-in-law Shirley Caudill, and brother-in-law E.J. Taylor.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 21st from 12:30-3:30PM at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:30pm with Bro. Curt Herrington officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Avery Bradshaw, Travis T. Burton, Jeremiah Caudill, Joseph Hunt, Douglas-Dell Ponder, Reggie Pennington, and Jonathan Shell. Honorary pallbearers will be Shawn Caudill and Steven Caudill.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the fund for upkeep of Fairview Cemetery.
