Katha (Morris) Carpenter

OBITUARY NOTICE:

Katha  Morris Carpenter went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital.

Katha was born in Rockcastle County on September 9, 1942, to the late Delaney and Edna Raines Morris.  She loved her church, Pine Hill Holiness.  Her favorite past time was quilting, drawing and the many years at Livingston City Council, as well as volunteering with the Homecoming Committee and Livingston Ladies Auxillary. 

Katha is survived by one daughter Kaye Sizemore (Jeff) of McKee, Kentucky.  One son, Mark Carpenter (Deanna) of Brodhead, Kentucky.  One sister, Telvis Daugherty (Roy) of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky.  Ten grandchildren, Lauryn Lovell, Ethan Carpenter, Justin Sizemore, Kyle Sizemore, Amy Whitehead, Austin Whitehead, Bridgett Hillard, Beth Hillard, Andrea Hillard, and Amber Bingham. Nineteen great grandchildren.  As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Katha was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Roland Carpenter, two daughters, Betty Whitehead and Brenda Coffey, two brothers, Harold Morris and James Clayton Morris, a sister, Rowena Singleton.

Visitation for Katha Carpenter will be Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 11AM-1PM at Pine Hill Holiness Church.  Funeral service at 1PM with Bros. Jason Medley and Phillip Doan officiating.  Burial will follow in the Morning View Cemetery in Livingston, Kentucky.
