Kay Shelton Obituary
Ms. Kay (Spivey) Shelton, age 75, of Crab Orchard, KY, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Baptist Health Lexington.
Kay was born August 9, 1945 in Mt. Vernon, KY to the late Henry and Lousie (Pospisil) Spivey. She was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed motorcycles, car shows, and bike rallies. Kay will be fondly remembered as proprietor of Brodhead Dari Delight where people passing thru Brodhead stopped for a meal or coffee, to visit, and fellowship. Kay was very civic minded – sponsoring bike rides and shows and vintage car shows. She enjoyed people, cared for others, was charitable to all in need and a friend to many.
Those left to celebrate her life are her children: Kevin Shelton and wife Tammy of Crab Orchard, KY, Monte Shelton and Angela of Crab Orchard, KY; and four grandchildren: Logan, Lucas, Chase, and Keesha Shelton; as well as a host of friends and neighbors.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her Companion: Jerry Smith; and two brothers: George and Charles “Chuck” Spivey.
Chapel services for Kay will be private.
