Kayson Isaiah Cameron

Kayson Isaiah Cameron, age 2, of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021, at UK Children’s Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Kayson was born on October 1st, 2019, in Lexington, KY, to Dereck Cameron and Brittany Smith. He was always happy; loved dancing and singing; and loved any cartoon with a British accent.

Those left to celebrate his life are his mother: Brittany Smith; his father: Dereck Cameron; one sister: Kelsie Cameron; maternal grandparents: Elsie and Lafey Smith; paternal grandmother: Pat Cameron; maternal aunts and uncles: Joshua Smith & Heather Damrell, and Maranda Smith & Eddie Gentry; a paternal uncle: Kelly Cameron; and cousins whom he was very close to: Madison Smith Webb & Keavin, Ethan Richards, Rilee Smith, and Elizabeth Cameron.

He was preceded in death by one uncle: Dewayne Cameron.

Services for Kayson will be held at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals, on Saturday, November 6th, 2021, beginning with the visitation from 12pm, until the time of the funeral service at 2pm, with Marcus Reppert officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Ethan Richards, Keavin Webb, Lafey Smith, and Joshua Smith.
