Keith Coffey Obituary

Mr. Keith Linville Coffey, age 71, of Mt. Vernon, KY, husband of Susan Bray Coffey passed away Saturday, September 22nd, 2018, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY.

He was born September 12th, 1947 in Berea, Kentucky to Willis Linville Coffey and the late Ada Jean Burdette Coffey. He attended Carmichael Community Church and he was of the Baptist faith. Keith retired from Lexmark after 27 ½ years and Driving a school bus in Rockcastle County for 22 years. He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing and farming. Keith was a Loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by a wife of 47 years, married, August 6th, 1971 Susan Bray Coffey, his father: Willis Linville Coffey; his children: Jennifer (Eddie) Carpenter of Mt. Vernon, KY; Julie (Robert) Phillips of Mt. Vernon, KY and one step son (adopted by faith): Jeff (Shona) Brock of Crab Orchard, KY; grandchildren: Callie Bray Carpenter, Kennedy Alexandria Carpenter, Keith Edward Carpenter, Gentry Robert Phillips, Emma Grace Phillips and Ava E. Bray Phillips; great-grandchildren: (JEP) Johnathan Edward Portwood; brothers: Steve A. Coffey and Willis G. Coffey.

Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy R. Coffey.

Visitation for Keith Coffey will be Monday, September 24th, 2018 from 5-9 P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral service for Keith Coffey will be Tuesday, September 25th, 2018 at 11 A.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. Jeff Lewis and Bro. Ryan Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery.
