Kenneth Dean Abney, age 67 of Somerset, departed this life, Thursday, November 9 , 2023 at VA Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.

He was born on April 10, 1956, in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of the late Edward Ray and Bonnie Mae Ashcraft Abney. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed sports, especially Baseball and Football, and camping. He served his country in the US Marines.

Those left to celebrate his life are his two children; his five grandchildren; his sisters: Beverly Jean Abney of Somerset, Ky; and Sheila Darlene Keith (Greg) of Bronson, Ky; his close friend: Kimberly Fawcett of Somerset, Ky. As well as a host of friends and neighbors.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation was chosen; no services are scheduled.

Even if death were to fall upon you today, like lighting, you must be ready to die without sadness and regret, without any residue of clinging for what is left behind. Remaining in the recognition of the absolute view, you should leave this life like an eagle soaring up into the blue sky.
