Kenneth Adams Obituary

Mr. Kenneth Lewis Adams, age 85, of Mt. Vernon, Ky, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021, at Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation in Brodhead.

Kenneth was born May 12, 1936, in Brindle Ridge, KY, a son of the late Lewis L. Adams and Myrtle Pennington. He and Josephine Smith were united in marriage on May 31, 1957, and they enjoyed 55 years together, prior to her passing in 2012. He spent his life as a passionate and dedicated dairy farmer, earning an award for he and his brother Wayne’s outstanding contribution to the dairy industry in Rockcastle County in 1972. Much like his work, Kenneth took great pride in his faith; he was a member Brindle Ridge Baptist church, where he served as Deacon for over 22 years. He was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation, Brindle Ridge Fire Department, and had a seat on the Rockcastle County School Board for 24 years. In his free time, he loved turkey hunting.

Those left to celebrate his life are his children: Kenneth Douglas Adams & Jayne of Upton, KY, and Lavada Adams of Mt. Vernon, KY; his grandchildren: Matthew Adams & Molly of Upton, KY, and Kathryn Adams & Keith Young, of Chicago, IL; a great-granddaughter, Andilyna Josephine Adams; a brother, Bill Adams & Phyllis, of Mt. Vernon, KY; and a special niece, Debby Adams Bowles; as well as a host of many other family, friends, and neighbors.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Josephine Smith Adams, his brother Wayne Adams.
