Larry D Carter

Larry Dale Carter, age 72, departed this life on Saturday, July 4th, 2026, at his residence in Mt. Vernon, Ky.

Larry was born on June 14th, 1954, in Berea, Ky, a son to the late Clarence and Louise Shields Carter. On June 28th, 1971, he married Linda Bowling and from that union came two children, Tiffany Lynn and Brian Dale.

Larry was of the Baptist faith and found great enjoyment and fulfillment from his work. He was a licensed Electrician who was also an avid Hunter.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife: Linda Carter of Mt. Vernon, Tiffany Lynn Wilson (Chad) of Lexington, Brian Dale Carter (Brittany) of Mt. Vernon, his grandchildren; Brianna Kirby (Ryan) of Mt. Vernon, Macie Vanover (Blake) of Morehead, Troy Carter of Berea, Makenna Wilson of Lexington, Maya Wilson of Lexington, Mallory Wilson of Lexington, Wyatt Carter of Mt. Vernon, his great grandchildren; Nevaeh Kirby, Lindi Kirby, brother Jerry Warren Carter (Gwen) of Mt. Vernon and sister Claretta Carter Hodges of Mt. Vernon.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his Brother-in-law: Tommy Hodges. His great grandchild: Angel Baby

 Graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery on Wednesday, July 8th , 2026, from 1-2 pm. Funeral following at 2pm with Bro. Darren Allen officiating.

Casket bearers; Ryan Kirby, Blake Vanover, Jaxson Young, Troy Carter, and Wyatt Carter.
