Laverne Illa Riddle

Mrs. Laverne Illa Riddle, widow of Billy Paul Riddle, passed away Friday April 4, 2025, at Rockcastle Health and Rehab in Brodhead.

Laverne was born June 23, 1941 to the late Henry Hasque Bentley and Argie Singleton Bentley.  On April 8th, 1966, Laverne married Billy Paul Riddle , and they enjoyed 52 years till his passing in 2018. Laverne attended Crossroads Church of God, she enjoyed cross word puzzles, westerns, and Elvis Presley.

She is survived by Justin Bentley of Crab Orchard, KY; one brother Larry Bentley and Shelia of Brodhead, KY.

Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one brother Wiliam “Fescue” Bentley and two sisters Wanda Hacker and Magdalene Bullock.

Services for Mrs. Riddle will be Monday April, 7, 2025  at the Marvin E. Owens Chapel with visitation starting at 11 Am till time of the funeral at 1PM. with  Bro. Randal Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Levisey Cemetery.
