Leman Douglas Harris

Mr. Leman Douglas Harris, age 71, of Brodhead, KY, passed away December 25, 2018, at his home. 

Doug was born on February 28, 1947, in Brodhead, KY, to the late James David and Destie Messer Harris.  He was a heavy equipment operator, and worked in the Tool & Die industry for 20 years. He was a member of the Brodhead Baptist Church, enjoyed, photography, playing music, auto mechanics, woodwork, and Ham – Amateur Radio operation.

Those left to celebrate his life are, his wife of 51 years, Judy Harper Harris, his mother-in-law, Mary A. Harper, his brother, Harold and wife Carol Harris, of Brodhead, KY, his brother-in-law, Scott Patrick Harper, of Brodhead, KY, his brother-in-law, Everett and wife Debbie Harper of Brodhead, KY, his nieces, Dana and husband Andy McKinney, Hailey Harper, Beth and husband Mike Jones; his nephews J.C. and wife Bonnie Harris, Tyler Harper, Greg and wife Casey Harper, and great-nieces and great-nephews:  Shelby, Bailey, and Jaimie Harris, Hunter and Mackenzie Elam, Lucas and Lindsey Jones, and Jordan, Nash, and Lee Harper, as well as a host of friends and neighbors.

Visitation for Mr. Doug Harris will be Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 6-9pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals in Brodhead, KY.  Funeral services will take place Sunday, December 30, at 2pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals in Brodhead, KY, with Bro. Don Jones officiating. Burial will be Piney Grove Cemetery.
