Leonard Logan McClure, 88, of Brodhead Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at his home and is now resting in the arms of his Savior.
He was born on February 19, 1938 in Broughtontown, Kentucky to Ivan McClure and Ruth Smith McClure. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Kathern Vernell “Nell” Bishop McClure on December 24, 1955 and they shared 55 wonderful years before her passing on June 9, 2011.
Leonard was a gentle soul and found peace in life’s simple moments. His quiet grace, warm heart and kind spirit will be forever missed by his family and friends. He was a devoted member of the Community Worship Church of God and was a dedicated servant who lived his faith daily.
Leonard is survived by two daughters Kathy (Thomas) Burgin and Regenia (Robert) Miller, of Brodhead, four grandchildren: Joshua (Jessica) McClure, Kagan (Cora) Miller, Kaitlyn Burgin and Molly Irvin; three great grandchildren Haylee and Kendall McClure, and Charlotte Miller, a daughter in law, Greta Sandlin McClure Thompson, sisters Doris Harris and Lillian DeBoard.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his sons, Leonard Douglas McClure and Rick McClure, two grandsons, Noah and Silas McClure, and brothers Bobby McClure and William Wade McClure.
Visitation for Leonard will be Saturday March 7, 2026 from 12pm to 2pm at Owen’s Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 2 pm with Bro. Robert Miller and Bro. Jeff Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Negro Creek Cemetery.
