Lester Harold Bullock

Mr. Lester Harold Bullock, age 80, of Somerset, and a lifelong resident of Mount Vernon, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 2, 2025, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Lester was born on October 31, 1944, to the late Curtis Hubert and Ada Lena Bullock. He was united in marriage to Karen Sayers Bullock, and from that union came one beloved daughter, Karla Kay Bullock.

Lester was a man of quiet strength and deep affection, especially for his family and his cherished dogs. He found great joy in farming, spending time with his animals, and visiting with family and friends. His kindness, steady presence and love for the simple pleasures of life will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Lester is survived by his daughter Karla Kay Bullock of Somerset: one sister, Barbara and husband Delmas of Mt. Vernon, KY and a host of loving nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. His loyal dogs, whom he adored, were constant companions and a source of great joy throughout his life.

Besides his parents, Lester was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Karen Kay Sayers Bullock;  sisters Burnetta Norton, Claradeen Davis, Lura Robertson, and Sue Tabor.; Brothers Benton, Clinton, Kenneth, Leonard and Infant James E. Bullock.

Lester’s family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace, reunite with loved ones who have gone before him, and resting in the arms of his Savior.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 8th starting at 11:00 till time of the funeral at 3 PM at Marvin E. Owens Chapel. Bro. Jacob Pelston Officiating. Interment will follow in Sayer Cemetery.
