Mrs. Lois Areminta (Lunsford) Philbeck age 80 of Mt. Vernon, KY passed away Friday November 11, 2022, at St. Joseph Health London.
Lois was born April 4, 1942, in Dayton, OH to the late Frank and Ada Byrd Lunsford. She retired from Parker Seal Plant in Berea, KY. Lois, among others, was instrumental in establishing the Rockcastle County Senior Citizens Center and Meals on Wheels Program. She was a lifelong Conservative Southern Democrat, a member of Northside Baptist Church, and enjoyed traveling, especially across the Southeastern United States. She married Ray Philbeck on October 8, 1960, and from that union came two sons: Charles and Ray.
Those left to celebrate her life are her two sons: Charles Philbeck and Marry Lynn of Mt. Vernon, KY, and Ray Todd of Mt. Vernon, KY; three grandchildren: Brady, Leslie, and Tommy Philbeck; six great-grandchildren: Hayden, Taylor, Chase, Eli, Elenor, and Elaina; and close family friend: Elijah Baker; as well as a host of family, friends, and neighbors.
Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by two siblings: Lana Pannell and Larry Lunsford.
A graveside service for Lois will be held Sunday November 13, 2022, at 1:00pm at Philbeck Cemetery with Bro Jerry Owens officiating.
