Mr. MacArthur “Mac” Hampton, age 78, of Eubank, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at his residence.
Mac was born July 6, 1942 in Brodhead, KY, to the late Edward and Jane (Saylor) Hampton. He married Hilda Morrow on December 18, 1961 and from that union came three children: Douglas Glen, Timothy Dean, and Patricia Jean. Mac retired from the National Casket Company in Lancaster, was a Deacon at Sunrise Baptist Church, enjoyed his family and farming.
Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 58 years: Hilda Hampton; two sons: Douglas Glen Hampton of Eubank, KY, Timothy Dean (Kimberly) of Mt. Vernon, KY; five grandchildren: Josh (Tiffany) Hampton, Adrienne (Jacob) Wright, Phillip (Felicia) Hampton, Bethany Hampton, Destiny Hampton; and four great-grandchildren: Jaxon Hampton, Abigail Hampton, Ashton Hampton, and Benjamin Wright.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter: Patty Jean Cromer; three brothers: Willie, Buddy, George; and five sisters: Ruby, Viola, Cordia, Stella, and Marinda.
Visitation for Mac Hampton will be Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 6-9pm at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. Funeral services will be Friday, July 17, 2020 at 1pm at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Finley Vaughn, Josh Hampton, and Larry Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the Negro Creek Cemetery. Casket bearers are: Josh, Charles, and Phillip Hampton; Wendell Thompson, Donald Brock, and Clifford Finley.
