OBITUARY NOTICE:

Mrs. Madaline Webb Sargent, age 73, of Brodhead, KY, passed away Monday, April 21st, 2025, at her home in Brodhead.

Madaline was born in Berea, KY on October 25th, 1951, to the late Barney and Maudie Alexander Webb. On May 14th, 1972, she married Raymond Carl Sargent and from that union came two children: David Carl and Adrienne Carol.

She was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church where she was also the custodian for many years. Madaline enjoyed gardening, flowers and she especially enjoyed caring for other people in need, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband: Raymond Carl Sargent of Brodhead, her son: David Carl Sargent (Kimberly) of Monticello, two grandsons; David Andrew (Laci) of Monticello, Caleb Zachary(special friend Bailey) of Monticello, two sisters; Helen Croucher of Richmond, Jean (Jack) Medlock, one son in law: Lee Carpenter, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors .

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother: B.F. Webb, three sisters; Ruth Lakes, Faye Payne, and Elizabeth Young, one daughter: Adrienne Carol Carpenter.

Casket bearers are Caleb, David Sargent, Gary Neeley, Benny Croucher, Bryan Houk, and Scott Payne. Honorary casket bearer: Andrew Sargent.

Visitation for Madaline will be April 24th, 2025, from 10-2pm at Owens Chapel. Funeral service will follow, starting at 2pm with Bro. Darren Cupp and Scott Adams and Nathan Deleon officiating. Burial will follow in Oakhill Cemetery.
