Marietta (Gatliff) Jones

Mrs. Marietta (Gatliff) Jones, age 70, of Brodhead, KY, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY.

Marietta was born May 17, 1950 in Berea, KY to the late Delbert and Dorothy (Ramsey) Gatliff. She married Billy Jones on March 20, 1970 and from that union came three children:  Angela, Toni, and Steven. She was a factory seamstress for 39 years, was a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband of 50 years, Bill Jones of  Brodhead, her children:  Angela (Scott) Mullins of Stanford, KY, Toni (Marty) Evans of Mt. Vernon, KY, Steven (Alice) Jones of Quail, KY, grandchildren:  Matthew Smith, Jessica (Josh) Lowery, Zachary Bledsoe, Marissa Jones, Kasie Mullins, Israel Mullins; two great-grandsons:  Brenton Layne Bledsoe, Cason Zachary Bledsoe; two brothers:  Barry (Lavada) Gatliff of Mt. Vernon, KY; Benny (Joyce) Gatliff of Franklin, OH,

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant twin brothers:  Floyd and Roy; and one sister:  Teresa Gatliff.

Visitation for Marietta Jones will be Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 11am until time for the funeral service at 2pm at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Jerry Owens officiating.  Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.
