Mary Ann Brown

Mary Ann Brown, age 80, departed this life Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Danville Center in Danville, Ky.

She was born June 18, 1943 in Brodhead, Ky., a daughter of the late Raymond and Martha Carter Owens. She was a 22 year Cowden employee as well as ten year sewing factory employee.  Mary Ann was a member of Brodhead Baptist Church and found great joy in cooking, sewing, and helping others. On November 5, 1960, she was united in marriage to Garner Brown, and they enjoyed 63 years together prior to his passing January 13, 2024.

Those left to celebrate her life are her daughter, Connie Marie McClure of Brodhead, Ky; her grandchildren: Jessica Cromer and Jason, Chris Childress and Jennifer, Lorrie Santo and Katie McClure; her great grandchildren: Jordan, Faith, Trinity, Fynnley, Elizabeth, Jamison, Braxton, Benjamin and Kaleigh.   As well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Visitation will be Wednesday March 6 from 6-9. Funerals services will be Thursday March 7 at 1PM at the Marvin E. Owens Chapel, burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery.
