Melvin Lee Grollmus

Melvin Lee Grollmus, age 88, of Carlisle, OH, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023, at Kettering Memorial Hospital in Kettering, OH.

Melvin was born on April 1, 1934, in Seven Mile, OH, a son of the late William and Anna (Stalberger) Grollmus. He proudly served his country for several years, as a Seaman in the US Navy. He was a member of Princeton Pike Church of God, and of the Ben Franklin Masonic Lodge #719. In his free time, he enjoyed looking at and fixing old cars.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife Janet L. (Barnett) Grollmus of Carlisle, OH; two children: Derek Grollmus of Seven Mile, OH, and Devona Miller & Don of Hamilton, OH; one granddaughter: Jasmine Grollmus; one great-grandson: Demettre Grollmus; one brother: Paul Eldon Grollmus of Hamilton, OH; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Grollmus.

Services for Melvin will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Marvin E. Owens Home for funerals, beginning with the visitation at 10am, until the time of the funeral service at 11am, with Randal Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.
