Michael Joseph Pichette, age 37 of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020 at his residence.

Michael was born October 2, 1982 in Landstuhl, Germany to Wilfred Joseph and Maria Theresa Anne Pichette. He was of the Catholic Faith. He graduated from Moody High School in Ogenville, AL in 2000. Michael served in the United States Navy from 2001-2006; from 2004-2005 he served in Iraq as a Combat Medic for Marine Corp. 22 Echo Co. out of Camp Lejeune, NC. He worked for the University of Alabama Birmingham as an Emergency Communications Technician. He was currently an EMT/Paramedic at the Bluegrass Army Depot.

Those left to celebrate his life are his parents: Wilfred Joseph and Maria Pichette of Odenville, AL; one sister: Jessica Brooke Leigh (Gregg) Crump of Ogenville, AL; and two nieces: Ava Alyssa Rae Crump and Ila Anne Marie Crump.

Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be planned at a later date. Local arrangements are through the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
