Mr. Mose McKinley Brock Sr, age 90, of Kings Mountain, passed away Monday, November 11th, 2024, at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, KY.
Mose was born May 6th, 1934, in Brodhead, KY to the late Mose and Verla (Brummett) Brock. On October 2nd, 1954, he married Naomi (Branham) Brock in Sumter, SC. From that union came three children: Jacqueline, Mose (Kinny) Jr, and Stephen.
On March,22, 1954, Mose joined the Air Force and completed his basic training in New York at Samson AFB. Mose served in Sumter, SC and Okinawa, Japan. He was a certified mechanic and a farmer for many years. He was a member of the DAV and served as commander of chapter 91.
Those left to celebrate his life are his children; Jacqueline R. Proctor of OH, Mose Mckinley Brock Jr (Natalie), Stephen Derek Brock, grandchildren; Jeremy Brock, Heather Fleming (Tony), Tracy Phillips (Charles), Teri Tikunoff (Matt), Haleigh, Page, and Mahala Brock, Great Grandchildren; Chelsea (Zack) Gard, Ashley Brock, Dakota Fleming, Maggie Phillips, Robbie Phillips, Luke Tikunoff, and one Great Great Grandchild; Luke Gard. Four siblings; Evelyn Hilton Abbott, Francene Ledford, Dallas Brock, and Faye Gregory. As well as a host of nieces and nephews, friends and family.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Naomi (Branham) Brock, Four siblings; Proctor Brock, Virgil Brock, Corine Brock, and Matilda Brock.
Visitation for Mose will be Saturday, November 16th, 2024, at Marvin Owens chapel from 10am-12 pm. Funeral service will start at 12pm with Bros. Ralph Baker and Linville Hatter officiating. Burial will follow in Negro Creek Cemetery. Military Rites Will be observed at graveside service.
Casket bearers; James, Tim, and Roger Brock, Gabriel Gregory, Charles and Doug Ledford, and Charles Phillips. Honorary casket bearers; Johnny Branham, Tommy Hardin, Gary Ledford and Matt Tikunoff.
